About

A quiet practice for people in grief

I'm Noriko Cheng, a licensed professional counselor in Portland. I work with adults after a death or another loss, one person at a time, in the office or by video for clients in Oregon.

I don't think grief is something to get past. I think it is something to be accompanied through. In sessions I listen, I ask questions when you want them, and I explain any method I suggest before I use it. You can say no to any of it.

You don't have to be sure what you want from counseling before you write. Many people begin by saying only that something has happened and they do not know where to put it.

Full attention to what is alive in the room between us.

  • Patience

There is no schedule for grief and none for these sessions.

  • Privacy
